Mocha Power Shake

A breakfast on the go from  “Skinny weeks and Weekend Feats.  Gizzi’s book is not necessarily focused on losing tons of weight,  it’s not a diet book. However, it does offer clever healthy substitutes.

Here it is a very quick recipe for a coffee loving, busy and weight conscious  …and it’s surprisingly delicious!

Gizzi’s words: ” Nowadays, it’s possible to get hold of really good quality organic whey powder, which is packed full of the protein that will keep you feeling full. Mixed,into smoothies or shakes, it makes a great quick breakfast”. 

BREAKFAST ON THE GO…. MOCHA POWER SHAKE 

(135 calories, serves 1, prep 5 mins). INGREDIENTS:

  1. 1 tsp good-quality cocoa powder
  2. 1-2 shots of espresso
  3. 1tbs agave nectar ( I used honey instead).
  4. 1 tbsp flavourless organic whey protein powder
  5. 1/4 vanilla extract
  6. 200ml semi-skimmed milk
  7. A glass of ice
